- Because if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

- Live in harmony with one another; do not be arrogant, but associate with the lowly; do not claim to be wiser than you are.
- If it is possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all.
- Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave room for the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is mine; I will repay, says the Lord.”
- Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
- Let every person be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except from God, and those authorities that exist have been instituted by God.
- For the same reason you also pay taxes, for the authorities are God’s agents, busy with this very thing.
- Pay to all what is due them: taxes to whom taxes are due, revenue to whom revenue is due, respect to whom respect is due, honor to whom honor is due.
- Owe no one anything, except to love one another, for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law.
- The commandments, “You shall not commit adultery; you shall not murder; you shall not steal; you shall not covet,” and any other commandment, are summed up in this word, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.”
- Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore, love is the fulfilling of the law.
- Instead, put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to gratify its desires.
- Welcome those who are weak in faith but not for the purpose of quarreling over opinions.
- Those who eat must not despise those who abstain, and those who abstain must not pass judgment on those who eat, for God has welcomed them.
- Who are you to pass judgment on slaves of another? It is before their own lord that they stand or fall. And they will be upheld, for the Lord is able to make them stand.
- Some judge one day to be better than another, while others judge all days to be alike. Let all be fully convinced in their own minds.
- If we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord; so then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord’s.
- For it is written,
“As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to me,
and every tongue shall give praise to God.” - Let us therefore no longer pass judgment on one another, but resolve instead never to put a stumbling block or hindrance in the way of a brother or sister.
- Each of us must please our neighbor for the good purpose of building up the neighbor.
- For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, so that by steadfastness and by the encouragement of the scriptures we might have hope.
- May the God of steadfastness and encouragement grant you to live in harmony with one another, in accordance with Christ Jesus.
- Welcome one another, therefore, just as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God.
- May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
- So that by God’s will I may come to you with joy and be refreshed in your company.

For this reason God gave them over to dishonorable passions. Their females exchanged natural intercourse for unnatural, and in the same way also the males, giving up natural intercourse with females, were consumed with their passionate desires for one another. Males committed shameless acts with males and received in their own persons the due penalty for their error. And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them over to an unfit mind and to do things that should not be done.
