Chinese (traditional)Iron sharpeneth iron;
so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend. Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. Therefore shall ye keep my commandments, and do them: I am the Lord. Trust in the Lord, and do good;
so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. He coveteth greedily all the day long:
but the righteous giveth and spareth not. And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these. Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you. Thy testimonies have I taken as an heritage for ever:
for they are the rejoicing of my heart. Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen. He that keepeth his mouth keepeth his life:
but he that openeth wide his lips shall have destruction. Let the brother of low degree rejoice in that he is exalted: But the rich, in that he is made low: because as the flower of the grass he shall pass away. And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me. Thou art all fair, my love;
there is no spot in thee. And the Lord, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee, neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed. His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord. Behold, God is mine helper:
the Lord is with them that uphold my soul. That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him. He giveth power to the faint;
and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. I have chosen the way of truth:
thy judgments have I laid before me. Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? And the Lord said unto Moses, Come up to me into the mount, and be there: and I will give thee tables of stone, and a law, and commandments which I have written; that thou mayest teach them. He that handleth a matter wisely shall find good:
and whoso trusteth in the Lord, happy is he. As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. Trust in the Lord with all thine heart;
and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge him,
and he shall direct thy paths. And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? And I will make thy seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give unto thy seed all these countries; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws. He is in the way of life that keepeth instruction:
but he that refuseth reproof erreth. Who is this King of glory?
The Lord of hosts,
he is the King of glory. Selah. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.Next verse!With image
